Ryan Ferris

Dr. Ryan FerrisRyan Ferris, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACT, graduated from veterinary school at Washington State University in 2007. He then completed an internship in equine surgery, medicine and reproduction at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in 2008. He subsequently completed a two-year equine theriogenology residency program at Colorado State University (CSU). Ferris joined the CSU faculty as a clinical instructor in the department of clinical sciences in 2010. He is primarily is involved in the clinical broodmare, foaling, and embryo transfer programs at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory. He also consults on reproduction cases and emergencies at the CSU James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

David Scofield

Dr. David ScofieldDavid Scofield, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACT, is a veterinarian with Select Breeders Services (SBS) in Maryland. After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2009, he completed an internship at Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Texas and later joined Colorado State University’s Equine Reproduction Laboratory as resident. His research focused on antimicrobial agents for bacterial and fungal infections in mares. His day-to-day activities included managing reproductively challenged mares and stallions, embryo transfer, foaling mares, high-risk pregnancies, and neonatal foals. At SBS, Scofield provides equine reproduction and veterinary services, including mare and stallion management, foaling services, embryo transfer, and an on-site recipient mare herd.
