Brennan Equine Welfare Fund Announces 2015 Grants

Fifteen equine rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, and placement facilities will receive grants.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based Brennan Equine Welfare Fund has announced that 15 equine rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, and placement facilities across the United States will receive its 2015 grants.

Thoroughbred-focused recipients include:

  • Bright Future’s Farm in Cochranton, Pennsylvania;
  • The Exceller Fund in Lexington, Kentucky;
  • Equine Encore Foundation in Tucson, Arizona;
  • Friends of Ferdinand (FFI) in Indianapolis, Indiana;
  • Glen Ellen Vocational Academy in Glen Ellen, California;
  • Thoroughbred Athletes in Guthrie, Oklahoma; and
  • CANTER Kentucky in Louisville.

Non-breed-specific organizations granted include:

  • The Kentucky Equine Humane Center in Nicholasville; 
  • Mitchell Farm in Salem, Connecticut;
  • Days End Farm Horse Rescue in Woodbine, Maryland;
  • Speak Up For Horses in Falmouth, Kentucky; and
  • Heaven Can Wait in San Miguel, California
