Alltech to Host Lecture on DHA and Stallion Reproduction

On Dec. 12, Alltech will resume its Equine News and Brews series with a presentation on “The Effects of DHA on Stallion Reproduction.” The event will take place in Shrewsbury Hall at Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company on Cross St., in Lexington, Ky.

Edward Squires, MS, PhD, Dipl. ACT (hon.), executive director of the University of Kentucky’s Gluck Equine Research Foundation, will deliver the lecture. Squires is known for his pioneering work in embryo transfer techniques, and his other research specialties include reproductive endocrinology of the nonpregnant and pregnant mare, hormonal regulation of the estrous cycle, and preservation of stallion semen.

Additionally, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and Kentucky Ale, Kentucky Kolsch, and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale will be served.

Registration is at 6 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres and drinks beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program will begin at 7 p.m
