Communicating for Agriculture (CA), a non-profit rural advocacy organization, is offering young adults pursuing a career in the equine industry the opportunity to travel to England in July 2000 for a month-long stay at an equine stable. Trainees will spend the first five days of the exchange visiting sites including Melton Market, Rockingham

Castle, Burleigh House, Newmarket, the National Stud and the Royal Show. For the remainder of the placement, trainees will work and learn at a typical English stable in exchange for room and board.

“This month-long exchange is well balanced between the equine industry, sightseeing tours and first hand experience working at an English stable,” said Beverly Gilmartin, CA Exchange Program Coordinator.The program cost of approximately $1,700 includes admission to attractions, airfare, insurance, administration fees, and lodging, breakfast and dinner for the first six nights of the exchange.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 28, and have at least two years practical equine experience. Applications are due by June 1, 2000
