For those who would like to combine their love of trees and horses, the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation has an excellent suggestion: Donate trees to the Kentucky Horse Park and receive a year-end tax donation!

The foundation is seeking environmentally-minded folks to donate trees to the park’s arboretum for its beautification program. A tax-deductible donation of $200 will plant a very nice-sized tree. For $300 the foundation will plant a tree with a permanent granite marker commemorating the donor or memorializing a beloved person or pet. (Or perhaps you own a nursery and would consider donating trees to the park’s foundation.). It’s a great way to help the Kentucky Horse Park, provide habitat for wildlife, clean the air, knock a chunk off of your taxes, and allow the public to see your big heart all at once! Hundreds of thousands of park visitors, their dogs, and the resident horses will enjoy and appreciate your gesture.

The park currently has more than 50 species of trees and shrubs on 1,200 acres of rolling bluegrass countryside. The arboretum was established to support and promote the horticultural and arborist industry, education, research, and plant conservation in Kentucky. Park visitors stroll under century-old Sycamores, Oaks, Walnuts, and Kentucky Coffee trees as well as newly-planted trees. The Kentucky Horse Park’s arboretum is certified through the American Association of Botanical Gardens and Arboreta.
