Members of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and other individuals are invited to submit an abstract, “how to” paper or review paper for consideration for presentation during the 2001 AAEP Annual Convention in San Diego, Calif., November 25 – 28.

Submitted abstracts will be selected by the AAEP Abstract Review Committee based on practicality, new information and quality of content. Abstracts should be a minimum of 600 words, with special attention given by the review committee to material with practical content or new information. The formal requirements for paper submission are available on the AAEP Web site, https://www.aaep.org, in the 2000 Proceedings book, or by calling the AAEP’s Fax on Demand service at 800/685-5179 and requesting document 305.

“How to” papers should explain a procedure in equine veterinary medicine or the equine industry, and must include the following headings: title, author, introduction, methods, results and discussion. There is no word limit for “how to” papers. Review papers are presented for the purpose of updating the membership on a new subject, or for gathering information that may be conflicting.

Selected abstracts and “how to” papers will be printed in the 2001 AAEP Proceedings and presented at the 2001 Annual Convention. The presenting author will receive complimentary registration and a $500 travel allowance
