Two horses used in the Osceola County, Florida, Sheriff’s Department mounted unit are safe at home after being taken from their paddock earlier this week.

A police report connected to the incident indicates that law enforcement personnel responded to a call from an owner reporting that a black draft-cross gelding and a bay Arabian-cross gelding were taken from their pasture near the southern Orlando, Florida, sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. Both horses were actively used in the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department mounted unit, the report said.

Lourdes Clayton, public information officer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, said the horses were found on the north side of Orlando in the early morning hours of May 12. . Both were in good condition, she said.
