No less than 200,000 tickets for the Alltech Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) World Equestrian Games (WEG) 2014 in Normandy, France, went on sale today, March 4. The majority of the newly released tickets are for single sessions in one of the FEI Olympic disciplines of jumping, dressage, and eventing. Tickets for competitions in the FEI non-Olympic disciplines are also up for grabs.

Tickets can be booked at the WEG website. Ticket prices start at €5 for para-dressage and €12 for endurance, and going up to €90 for the most coveted jumping tickets.

“The organizing committee keeps us informed on a regular basis regarding the ticket sales and the results so far are great,” FEI Secretary General Ingmar De Vos commented. “No less than 210,000 have already been sold to both French horse enthusiasts and overseas visitors, who have bought more than 50% of the available tickets so far. The U.K. is topping the leaderboard in terms of foreign sales, and is closely followed by the USA, Germany, Australia, Belgium, and the Netherlands. We’re confident that the tickets being released today will be snapped up very quickly and are looking forward to sold-out venues in all the disciplines and to an unforgettable atmosphere at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy.”

Tickets for the individual jumping final—the Final Four with change of horses on Sept. 7—will be going on sale in April. Tickets will be attributed through drawing of lots on the basis of online registration.
