In honor of the 10th anniversary of the University of Minnesota Leatherdale Equine Center, the University of Minnesota Equine Extension Team is hosting two educational programs. An Adult Horse Owner Education program will be held on October 21, 2017 and includes topics such as recognizing and treating ulcers, selecting the right forage source for your horse, different stretches to improve horse fitness and how to determine horse bodyweight and body condition score. Online registration is available at www.regonline.com/AdultHorse2017 and is required by October 18, 2017. Cost is $25 per person; the fee includes a box lunch and proceedings.

6 week intensive hands on course Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This course includes: the complete massage of the horse, lymphatic drainage, stretches, safety protocol, vertebral realignment and joint play of all joints of the horse, behaviour related issues, conformation, gait analysis, natural horsemanship, the painting of the bones and major muscles of the horse, hydrotherapy, anatomy, palpation and assessment techniques. Cost is $25 per person; the fee includes a box lunch and proceedings. Program is limited to 100 participants.
