Lloyd’s of London and the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Agriculture, Food and Environment are celebrating their long-term partnership of more than 25 years and continued financial support in 2017.

Lloyd’s representatives recently presented a $50,000 check to UK to continue their support of the international publication Equine Disease Quarterly, which published its 100th issue in July.

“We are very pleased to be associated with the Quarterly, as it is a one-stop source of very valuable information on issues that directly impact horse owners and others associated with horse welfare across the whole spectrum of the racing, breeding and equine industries,” said Patrick Talley, U.S. central region director for Lloyd’s America. “I am particularly proud of the long-term nature of the support Lloyd’s has provided and the continuity and expertise it demonstrates to stakeholders in the equine world.”

Equine Disease Quarterly is produced by the UK Department of Veterinary Science and the Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center
