Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, in Lexington, Kentucky, has announced that it has merged with Mixed Animal Veterinary Associates of North America (MAVANA).

MAVANA is comprised of 22 equine, mixed animal, and companion animal veterinary practices across 11 states.

Other hospitals that operate as a MAVANA partner include Teigland, Franklin and Brokken, an equine sports medicine practice based in Florida that specializes in Thoroughbreds, and the Chicago Equine Medical Center, which is a full-service veterinary hospital serving racing and sport horse clients in the greater Chicago, Illinois, area.

“Hagyard with its excellent doctors and staff will continue as it has for the past 140 plus years, managed and operated in Lexington, Kentucky,” said Luke Fallon, DVM, of Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. “Our commitment to our clients and their success by providing excellence in veterinary care for their horses will continue as it has for the past nearly 150 years
