But only when work is strenuous, especially with slippery or deep footing. Normal work outs- no.

5/5/2014 7:27:50 PM

Does not brush or over-reach . I feel wraps etc can cause more harm than good

5/5/2014 6:40:42 PM

my mare is barefoot so we don't need boots or wraps

5/5/2014 4:25:10 PM

we only use boots for jumping!

5/5/2014 3:33:33 AM

for protection during her work

5/4/2014 3:42:58 PM

I like to protect my horse's legs especially when jumping and sporting, but always have boots on

5/3/2014 7:15:03 PM

We mostly trail ride.

5/3/2014 2:37:49 PM

I don't believe in them and I don't want to over heat his tendons

5/3/2014 6:54:26 AM

only in high competition speeds

5/2/2014 2:08:36 AM

Also wears hind turn out boots after a serious paddock mishap(s)

5/1/2014 12:26:19 PM

Normally not. But we do add boots if planning a ride in rougher terrain for support and protection.

5/1/2014 12:21:49 PM

Polos all the way around.

5/1/2014 12:18:41 PM

5/1/2014 11:11:13 AM

yup

5/1/2014 9:35:33 AM

only for x-country

5/1/2014 7:20:46 AM

Protective boots only when cutting or dry work with stops and turns, not for exercising

4/30/2014 8:52:34 PM

if the horse needs it for a specific reason & time then fine. a crutch over time may create weakness

4/30/2014 8:36:12 PM

Ever since he fractured splints I've used boots. Wraps in colder weather

4/30/2014 7:28:29 PM

polos

4/30/2014 6:24:39 PM

Not usually, but I do maintain his feet in balance, otherwise I use protection.

4/30/2014 6:22:45 PM

neoprene boots saved his legs many times=will not ride him without it

4/30/2014 5:55:59 PM

when longeing, though in practice that means riding as well.

4/30/2014 5:46:20 PM

Only on rough terrain.

4/30/2014 2:28:12 PM

sometimes

4/30/2014 12:27:24 PM

Lower level dressage; no need for leg protection

4/30/2014 11:09:26 AM

We do dressage and my horse wears leg wraps working and bell boots in turnout.

4/30/2014 10:38:54 AM

Unless he interferes.

4/30/2014 7:36:21 AM

Stretch and flex

4/30/2014 3:33:46 AM

Either polo's or SMB Ventec Elites

4/29/2014 10:02:01 PM

always bell boots, and usually splint boots or polos as well

4/29/2014 6:37:12 PM

We need toprotect our horses legs as much as possible, during shipping and working..

4/29/2014 5:54:01 PM

Bell boots behind with leg protection.

4/29/2014 5:48:49 PM

Not unless the footing is deep or muddy then I use wraps and bell boots

He doesn't do disciplines that require (or allow) protection.

4/29/2014 5:43:16 PM

He wore boots & wraps as a reiner, but no longer since we just take easy rides now.

4/29/2014 5:25:35 PM

Our harness horses Wear a light polo to jog. a boot to train.

4/29/2014 5:00:46 PM

But I plan on using wraps this season.

4/29/2014 4:58:53 PM

I don't do anything to my horse that would require his legs to be protected.

4/29/2014 4:05:48 PM

Athletic activities demand a variety of decisions based on conditions/training/etc. Use when needed.

4/29/2014 4:01:57 PM

No leg boots but he wears hoof boots

4/29/2014 3:36:28 PM

4/29/2014 3:22:18 PM

have a very good pair of front boots 4 my horse, but sometimes they r more of a hassle than anything

4/29/2014 2:52:34 PM

Trail ride at a walk only- leg wraps collect a lot of trash in desert!

4/29/2014 12:05:25 PM

splint/brushing boots and/or polowraps depending on what type of work we are doing.

4/29/2014 10:29:29 AM

My gelding wears front boots every ride, hind boots to jump, and hind wraps in cold weather.
