Nolen-Walston to Discuss Deworming Horses at Free Lecture

On Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m., Rose Nolen-Walston, DVM, Dipl. ACVIM, will discuss the latest views on deworming horses, as part of the First Tuesday Lecture Series at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) New Bolton Center. The center is located at 382 West Street Road in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

Nolen-Walston will share her popular presentation, “Global Worming: How to Prevent Deworming Meltdown in the 21st Century.” She will discuss new thoughts on equine deworming, highlighting the emerging dangers of resistance that could make treatments ineffective in the future.

Nolen-Walston is an assistant professor of large animal internal medicine at Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center, specializing in large animal intensive care and equine lung disease.

During the First Tuesday Lecture Series offers free lectures to the public on equine topics the first Tuesday of each month. This lecture will take place in New Bolton Center’s Alumni Hall.
