ELCR Offers Conservation-Related Webinars, Teleconferences

As part of its ongoing educational series of webinars and teleconferences, Equine Land Conservation Resource (ELCR) will be offering the following four programs, sponsored by Bayer Animal Health and Breyer Animal Creations:

  • Sept 26 at 7:30 p.m. EDTTrail Networks on Private Lands: What Works and Why—This webinar is open to all. Attendees will hear case studies on successful trail networks on private lands, get tips for communicating about liability and managing relationships with landowners, and advice about organizing trail groups to maintain and support trail systems on private lands.
  • Oct. 14 at 8:30 p.m. EDTThe Basics of Planning & Zoning for Horse Businesses and Farms—This webinar, hosted by Equestrian Professionals, is open to all. Attendees will learn the basics of planning and zoning processes, understand how they impact horse businesses, and how to influence local planning and zoning decisions.
  • Nov. 7 at noon EST and 7:30 p.m. ESTELCR Conservation Members’ Fall Call: Issues Update and Members Discussion—This conference call is open to ELCR Conservation Members only. This call will allow members to raise issues and concerns they see in their own communities that will influence ELCR’s agenda and work in the coming year.
  • Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. ESTBest Management Practices for Horse Facilities—This webinar is open to all. ELCR staff will walk attendees through the online best management practice guide and highlight emerging issues around the country with ample time allotted for locally specific questions.
