Pfizer Animal Health colleagues recently attended the 57th Annual Convention of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) to focus on continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary students. Pfizer Animal Health participates as a sponsor of the AAEP Foundation Celebration and various table topics during the convention. Other programs that Pfizer Animal Health sponsors include Good Works for Horses, the AAEP Student Chapter Short Courses in Dentistry, and the Equine Memorial Matching Challenge.

During the convention, the company introduced Vetstreet Equine–a wellness management service developed in partnership with Vetstreet Inc.–to help equine veterinarians manage client communications and promote wellness. The Pfizer Animal Health Equine Wellness Management Service is a long-term initiative to optimize the health and well-being of horses, help drive clients to veterinary practices, and increase compliance and practice loyalty. Vetstreet Equine is comprised of a dedicated veterinary portal for equine practices and a private, secure CONNEQT portal for horse owners. Features of the service include client access to patient health information, reminders based on the veterinarian’s wellness recommendations, streamlined client communications for appointments and practice management reports to help identify growth opportunities.

"Our presence at the AAEP Convention allowed us to introduce veterinarians to Vetstreet Equine firsthand, using live online demonstrations, and directly addressing their comments and questions," said Stuart Meikle, marketing director for Pfizer Animal Health. "The AAEP’s goals of improving the health and welfare of the horse and furthering the professional development of its members align with Pfizer Animal Health’s initiatives and programs to enhance horse health and support the veterinary profession
