What makes up your horse’s daily ration?  In last week’s poll, we asked our readers how much grain or concentrate feed their horse receives each day. More than 1,250 people responded, and we’ve tallied the results!

Of the 1,278 respondents, 638 people (50%) said their horse receives 1 to 3 pounds of grain or concentrate feed each day, while another 235 individuals (18%) said they feed their horse 4 to 6 pounds of grain or concentrates daily. Some 58 respondents (5%) feed their horse 8 to 9 pounds of grain each day, and only 50 individuals (4%) feed their horses 10 pounds of grain or more daily. The remaining 297 respondents (23%) did not feed grain or concentrate feed to their horse on a daily basis.
