Law enforcement authorities in Florida are seeking those responsible for shooting a horse then tying its carcass to a utility pole Osceola County.

Twis Lizasuain, director of communications for the Osceola County, Florida, Sheriff’s Department said that on July 8, a property owner reported that a horse’s carcass had been tied to a utility pole at a roadside near their mailbox. Upon investigation, deputies found that a bay Paso Fino mare had been shot and then tied at the scene. 

“We think she was shot at another location and then brought to the site because she had marks on her body indicated that she had been in a trailer,” Lizasuain said. 

The horse showed no signs of being abused, she said
