Vicar’s In Trouble Injured in Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile

The colt will undergo surgery to repair a condylar fracture in his left front leg, trainer Mike Maker said late Friday.

Vicar's In Trouble, a condenter in the Oct. 31 Breeders' Cup Dirt mile, will undergo surgery today to repair an injury suffered in yesterday's race, trainer Mike Maker said late Friday.

The Blood-Horse's Ron Mitchell reported via Twitter that Maker said the colt, who was vanned off the track, suffered a condylar fracture in his left front leg during the race.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reported via Twitter that, on Nov. 1, owner Ken Ramsay said Vicar's In Trouble had returned to Kentucky and would undergo surgery Nov. 2, due to the stress of the race
