Nearly all of the 20 horses formerly running at large in a rural section of Miami-Dade County, Fla., have been claimed by their owners.

Hialeah police and South Florida Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) volunteers gathered 11 of the animals this weekend. Agency volunteers planned to return for the rest but the farmer whose complaint initiated the official gather captured the remaining horses.

Hialeah Police Department Spokesman Detective Eddie Rodriguez said the horses were likely abandoned.

But on Monday, owners retrieved 10 of the animals from the SPCA. Owners were asked to provide Coggin’s tests to establish ownership. The horses captured by the farmer were also claimed
