Looking for something new to do with your horses? How about forming a “horse soccer” league!


In this author’s experience, the only time this had been seen before was with the Lexington Mounted Police Unit, who use large, inflatable balls to train horses and riders. Sometimes they would have an impromptu game of “soccer” while horseback to increase the pace and timing of the horses and riders.


Now, it seems in Arizona they’ve started a league of their own, according to an article in azcentral.com.


According to the article quoting a mom whose three kids play, “It’s actually unheard of to a lot of people. It’s for all ages, all breed of horses. Anybody can do it. My husband ropes, and he gets out there and plays soccer with his horse
