Rock radio station WKQQ, from Lexington, Ky., has announced its media support and sponsorship of "Rock To Ride" presented by Alpha Natural Resources. The concert will be held Aug. 27 in Paddock Park at the Red Mile Race Track, also in Lexington. WKQQ has been On Air since 1974 … and is still rockin’!

"100.1 WKQQ is thrilled to be raising funds and awareness for Horse Aid Live, while exposing some of the absolute best local music talent," said radio personality ‘Dead Air’ Dennis Dillon. "Our horses, our music, a cause that’s very close to our community. Think of it as a ‘Central Kentucky Celebration.’"

Unreserved, the winner of WKQQ’s 2011 Decent Exposure battle of the bands joins the lineup of bands performing at Rock To Ride.

WKQQ joins the growing list of concert sponsors including Alpha Natural Resources, Dr. Pepper, The Red Mile Race Track, Saddle Candy, Hallway Feeds, Power Deck Company, Fares Farms, Churchill Downs, Southern States, Brittany Farms, Hunterton Farm, Carriage House Promotions, and Keeneland Race Course. Other media partners include ABC-36, KyForward.com, and LexSCENE
