Just two days after the conclusion of the Kentucky State Fair, a fire has destroyed four of the horse barns at the Kentucky State Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville, the Associated Press reported.

It’s believed the barns were empty but state fair President Harold Workman said it was too early to know the cost of the damage. The barns can hold up to 1,000 horses.

The most recent residents were Saddlebred horses competing at the fair on Saturday.

The facility is scheduled to host the North American International Livestock Exposition Nov. 7-20 and the North American Championship Rodeo Nov. 12-14
