Samuel Johnson once said that, “Great works are performed not by strength, but by perseverance.” This old adage definitely applies to Days End Farm Horse Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit equine rescue and humane education facility founded by Kathy and Allan Schwartz in 1989 and located in Lisbon, Md.
Unfortunately, Days End has outgrown its current property, which is leased to the organization and is for sale. The Schwartzes are seeking monetary donations to purchase a facility, or donations of property on which to build a new facility.

Ideally, Days End would welcome a donated facility, but they are actively looking at prospective properties to purchase so they no longer need worry about relocating. “We know we need to be proactive in this situation,” says Kathy. “Farms are not cheap, particularly for a non-profit organization that relies on private donations and grants in order to survive, and we understand this undertaking will again require that we reach to our donors and to the general public to help in a capital campaign to purchase a new farm
