A $10,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can help Dunn County, Wis., authorities find those responsible for fatally injuring a horse taken from its stall in July.

According to a written statement from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of a horse named Leo reported that the animal was taken from its stall at a training facility in Colfax, Wis., on July 16. The horse allegedly became agitated, forced its way through a wall, and fell over a fence into a corral on the other side, the statement read. As a result the horse sustained significant external and internal injuries and was subsequently euthanized by a veterinarian.

An anonymous Dunn County citizen has offered a $10,000 reward for anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the horse’s fatal injuries.

Anyone with information about the case can call Dunn County Crime Stoppers hotline at 855/847-3866 (TIP-DUNN), text “TIPDUNN” plus their message to 274637 on a mobile phone, or visit dunncocrimestoppers.com
