One horse is dead and 20 others are displaced after fire swept through a barn at an equestrian center in Villa Rica, Georgia.

According to a recorded message from operators of the Pure Horse Play Equestrian Center and Resort, fire swept through the barn at the farm on March 11, claiming one horse. The family’s dog was also killed in the blaze, the message said. The remaining 20 horses were led to safety.

“We are now seeking shelter for the horses,” the message said.

Its website indicates that Pure Horse Play Equestrian Center was located on 32 acres in a rural part of Carroll County. The center offered riding lessons, conducted trail rides, and operated a therapeutic riding program
