The temporary closure of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming’s Rock Springs Wild Horse Holding Facility will be extended from Dec. 30 to Feb. 29, 2016, due to weather delays and contract issues.

No public tours or adoptions will be conducted during the closure, but the public viewing kiosk will remain open.

The shop improvements will begin Jan. 4, and the hay shelter was completed in November. The public will be updated on when the facility will reopen for scheduled tours and adoption activities.
