Jane Bor, her son Ernie, and daughter-in-law Cecelia were arrested in October 2008 after authorities took custody of 100 allegedly maltreated horses residing on their property. The three were each charged with 13 counts of felony animal abuse/neglect.

Three horses died shortly after the seizure. The surviving horses received rehabilitative treatment at the Ventura County Department of Animal Regulation and were placed in adoptive homes.

The Bors appeared in Ventura County Superior Court on Dec. 21 where all three pleaded guilty to four felony cruelty counts, said a spokesperson for Ventura County Senior Deputy District Attorney Wendy Macfarlane. No further information was available
