On Thanksgiving evening, a woman from Strasburg, Pa., was killed and her husband injured when a horse ran into the path of their car, according to a report on Lancasteronline.com. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and her husband was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. The horse was euthanatized due to his injuries.


The report noted that the horse escaped when being hitched to a buggy and ran off the farm and onto the highway.
Investigation into the accident is continuing, and anyone with information is requested to call the East Lampeter Township Police at 291-4676, ext. 3109.
