This column is designed to celebrate our love of horses. If you're reading this magazine, you've got horse fever. It's not a new disease; mankind has had it since we first put a leg on either side of a horse's back or harnessed his strength for our purposes.

This monthly column will celebrate our trips and travels with horses. Our staff will start with a few of their own stories, but we want you to share with us your favorite excursions that include horses. It can be as simple as that first outing in the fall, with leaves crunching underfoot and cool breezes blowing life into us and our horses. It can be as exciting as a once-in-a-lifetime trip to herd cattle in Wyoming, a vacation in Germany to learn dressage under the tutelage of a master, or riding on the beach with waves crashing and the smell of freedom blown in the salty air
