Pennsylvania Launches 2003 West Nile Virus Surveillance Program

In 2002, West Nile virus was detected in 62 Pennsylvanians and contributed to the deaths of nine people.” In 2002, Pennsylvania reported 97 equine cases of WNV, according to the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service
