On Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 6:30 p.m., Elizabeth Davidson, DVM, Dipl. ACVS, ACVSMR, and Liz Arbittier, VMD, CVA, will discuss sports medicine, both inside the New Bolton Center hospital and outside through our field service, as part of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine's First Tuesday Lecture Series. The event will take place at 382 West Street Road in Kennett Square.

Davidson is an associate professor of sports medicine, and Arbittier is a staff veterinarian in the section of equine field service. They will offer a joint lecture in equine sports medicine, including lameness evaluations.

The lecture will include a demonstration in the Ilona English Equine Performance Evaluation Facility, which is marking its two-year anniversary at New Bolton Center. This world-class indoor arena provides the perfect environment for clinicians to conduct in-depth evaluations of horses for medical and performance issues, most commonly lameness.

During the First Tuesday Lecture Series, faculty and clinicians at New Bolton Center share current information on topics of interest and relevance to horse owners and caregivers throughout the region. Many of the lectures highlight the advanced techniques performed by Penn Vet’s team of clinicians and the equipment and facilities available to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
