PEC Annual Meeting to Feature Horse Health Presentations

The Pennsylvania Equine Council (PEC) and the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) Equine Science Program will be conducting the PEC Annual Membership Meeting and Equine Issues Forum, "Building a Stronger Equine Community," Nov. 18-19, 2011 at PSU in University Park, Pa.

The forum is intended for horse owners, farm managers, and all who want to make the equine community stronger. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with presenters and fellow horse enthusiasts. Issues discussed will include facts and concerns about Pennsylvania’s ever-changing horse industry.

The PEC Annual Membership Meeting will be held Nov.18 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the AG Industry Science Building. Following the meeting will be a light reception sponsored by Millville Mutual Insurance Company.

The Equine Issues Forum will commence Nov. 19 with a welcome and introduction from Rob Hoffa, Esq., PEC president, followed by a message from sponsor Millville Mutual Insurance Company. The morning’s activities beginning with registration at 8:00 a.m. and a start time of 9:00 a.m. The morning will include a roundtable of PEC members, County and Regional Directors, and the PEC Young Leaders Program. Bud Wills and the PEC Trails Committee members will present "Public Land Access–Are You Losing Your Trails?", and lunch will be provided at noon
