If you’ve ever uttered the word “horse,” QuarterFest is the place for you to be the first weekend in May. Everyone from the “horse crazy” of all ages to those who are “horse poor”–they’ve got one or more horses in their barn–will have a ball at QuarterFest: A Celebration of the American Quarter Horse May 1-3, on the grounds of the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Here is a list of the many QuarterFest activities that will be available to everyone! You don’t need to bring a horse, just come for the fun and bring the family. Your general-admission ticket gives you access to all this: The Kids Corral where kids of all ages can test-drive an American Quarter Horse, participate in a number of hands-on equine-related activities and games, and learn how to be more “green” in their horse-related behavior.

• Clinics, demonstrations, seminars and special events on everything from ranch roping to colt starting, adult and youth horsemanship to horse camping, and reining to negotiating trail obstacles
