EquiFest of Kansas officials have announced details for EquiFest of Kansas 2008, to be held Feb. 22-24 at the Kansas Coliseum in Wichita, Kan. This celebration of horses, now in its eleventh year, will feature world-class clinicians from all over the United States, including Craig Cameron and Ride Smart clinics plus his Extreme Cowboy Race; Steffen Peters giving dressage instruction; Cleve Wells with Western pleasure; Ken McNabb and Discovering the Horseman Within; Jane Armour presenting hunters and jumpers; and Peggy Brown giving centered riding clinics.

A wide variety of unusual and exciting equine entertainment is scheduled for EquiFest of Kansas 2008. Al Ragusin and his Dancing Horses will provide precision movements, singing, and lighthearted entertainment to music, while Regina Ware and her Friesian horses offer sophisticated syncopation, dancing to music. The festival will take a step back in time as Hanlon-Lees presents the pageantry of 14th century jousting. Costumed steeds, authentic weaponry, and noble knights in shining armor will highlight the action.

Raising the bar on competition and excitement, for the first time ever in Kansas, Craig Cameron will present his Extreme Cowboy Race, as seen on RFD-TV. Cowboys and cowgirls will compete for $6,000 in prize money as they ride a course designed to test the communication between horse and rider and stretch horsemanship skills and athletic abilities. More information and participant applications are available online at www.equinepromotions.net, or by calling 765/655-2107.

Horse enthusiasts can also explore a giant equine trade show that fills an entire building. Rows of commercial booths will offer clothing, tack, feed, equipment, gifts horse trailers, and countless products and services for horse enthusiasts
