Helping Horses & Horse Owners Affected by Katrina and Rita

(Note: This was first published online in September 2005 and the article date is continually updated)

Rescue teams and officials have said that the best way to help Hurricane Katrina and Rita victims is by making financial contributions to various organizations that are earmarking funds for horses and horse owners. Please see the list below. If you have an organization to add to this list that is earmarking funds for Katrina and Rita victims, please e-mail schurch@TheHorse.com. Click here to learn how to donate hay and feed to affected areas of Louisiana and Mississippi.
