The Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Veterinary Medicine Equine Health Studies Program and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital are currently renovating and updating their horse surgery recovery stalls.

Renovation began in the early summer months and is expected to be completed by Nov. 1. The equine recovery stalls were installed during the original construction of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the early 1970s and, although innovative and functional at that time, were in need of renovation.

The new renovated surgery recovery stalls are state-of-the-art and will modernize the process by which horses are anesthetized, moved into the surgery room, and recovered following the procedure
