Ohio Police Seek Horse Shooter

The 9-year-old horse is receiving veterinary care after being shot in the leg while grazing in a pasture.

Ohio authorities are seeking those responsible for shooting a horse grazing in a pasture.

Clark County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Mike Young said deputies responded to a call from an owner reporting that his 9-year-old horse had been grazing in a pasture when the animal was shot in the leg on June 15. During their investigation, deputies found a .380-caliber cartridge casing on the road beside the horse’s pasture.

“We don’t know if the horse was targeted or if this was random,” Young said.
