The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) has revised its vesicular stomatitis (VS) embargo on livestock (including horses) by adding Davis County, Utah and Moffat County, Colo., where additional cases of VS were reported during the first week of September.

The KDA has also issued the removal of several other counties from the VS embargo including Larimer, Rio Blanco, San Juan, and San Miguel Counties in Colorado, Beaver and Sevier Counties in Utah, and Bernalillo County, N.M.

A total of 382 cases of VS have been reported since April in Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Utah has the most positive VS premises (61), but 46 are on the 21-day countdown for removal from quarantine.
