Texas police are hoping that the public can help them find whoever allegedly injured a horse and a steer at an exhibition venue in San Angelo.

In a written statement, a San Angelo Police Department representative said law enforcement personnel responded to a call at the Foster Communications Coliseum on the weekend of Nov. 8-9. The statement indicates that both the horse and the steer were located in the same barn just east of the coliseum when someone allegedly saddled the horse and roped the steer.

Both the horse and the steer allegedly sustained injuries, the statement said.

If caught, those responsible for the incident could face animal cruelty charges
