The Kentucky Horse Council (KHC) Annual Conference will be held Jan. 14 at the Lexington Convention Center in conjunction with the Ag Industry Trade Show, Kentucky Cattlemen's Convention, and Burley Tobacco Coop Conference.

"With more than 100 vendors in the Ag Industry Trade Show, live presentations by clinician Curt Pate, and special presentations by Elisabeth McMillan of Equestrian Professional, this conference presents an unbelievable opportunity for Kentucky horse owners and professionals alike," explained Anna Zinkhon, KHC board president.

The conference officially begins at 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, with an Ag Industry pancake breakfast featuring an address from Governor Steve Beshear on the state of Kentucky agriculture, and two tracts of equine educational breakout sessions will begin following the breakfast: Equine Business and Horse Owner Topics.

Elisabeth McMillan of Equestrian Professional will present back to back business sessions on improving equine business by identifying marketing strategies that work for the horse business and using social media as an effective marketing tool. McMillan is the Editor-In-Chief of Equestrian Professional.com, a website that provides support to horse business owners and professional equestrian athletes
