Equine practitioners will acquire the practical knowledge, innovative solutions, and professional connections to deliver positive outcomes to patients when the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) 62nd Annual Convention and Trade Show convenes Dec. 3-7 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

The annual convention is the world’s largest continuing education event dedicated to equine practice, anchored by more than 100 hours of continuing education; a 300-exhibitor strong trade show; and attendance comprising thousands of industry leaders, researchers, academicians, private practitioners, and students.

The educational program will feature the most current clinical knowledge in the core areas of dentistry, emergency and critical care, imaging, infectious disease, internal medicine, lameness, rehabilitation, and reproduction. Complementing the broad slate of medical sessions will be daily “Business of Practice” sessions as well as sessions on the in-demand topic of ethics and the emerging topic of personal wellness and quality of life.

Additionally, a comprehensive menu of student programming designed to facilitate the transition from veterinary school to practice will include interactive dry labs, professional development sessions, and the traditional Avenues Career Night at which students can explore internship and externship opportunities with dozens of leading equine practices throughout North America. As a convenience for students with final exams the following week, the vast majority of student programming will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4
