After more than three years and numerous court appearances, Beth Hoskins has been found guilty of maltreating horses on her New York property.

In March 2010, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) serving Erie County removed 73 allegedly neglected horses from Hoskins’ Aurora, N.Y., farm. All the animals were placed under SPCA care. Law enforcement authorities later charged Hoskins with 74 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

A clerk for the Town of Aurora Justice Court said that on July 8, Hoskins appeared before Town of Aurora Justice Douglas Marky and was found guilty of 52 of the 74 original charges against her.

Neither Hoskins nor her attorney Thomas J. Eoannou was available for comment
