Texas law enforcement authorities hope the offer of a cash reward will help them find whoever is responsible for taking a horse from a Fort Bend County stable without the owner’s permission.

Bob Haenel, spokesman for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department, said deputies responded to a call from the owner of T-N-T Stables, in Fresno, on June 13 reporting that a boarder’s 3-year-old palomino horse was missing, along with his trailer tires and a two-horse trailer belonging to another boarder.

“We’ve got some decent leads, but we’re looking for the horse,” Haenel said.

While the investigation continues, Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is offering an up to $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the horse theft. Anyone with information should call 281/342-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at www.fortbend.crimestoppersweb.com
