Vaccination can Help Prevent Equine Deaths from EEE

Vaccination might have prevented the deaths of six North Carolina horses that died after contracting Eastern equine encephalomyelitis (EEE), according to state veterinary officials. A seventh animal appears to be recovering from the disease.
