Bramlage is a past president of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), and is president of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, and chairs the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Grayson Jockey Club Research Foundation.

Bramlage is a familiar face to many racing fans. His 14 years as a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioner’s “On-Call” program for television viewers of the Triple Crown and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships has brought him into millions of homes.

As a partner in the prestigious Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Bramlage is known for his surgical technique to repair fractured fetlocks. He teaches this method to veterinarians who attend a course with him, hosted twice a year.
