At that point, almost everyone has lots of well-intended advice on how to get your horse back to 100% fitness. There are a few nay-sayers who claim your horse will never be at full fitness again. Fact is, even the experts are divided about what percentage of horses can achieve compete-at-the-top rehabilitation.

As the horse begins to regain strength and coordination after basic ground work, exercise related to his discipline can be incorporated into his program. Care should be taken not to overtax the horse.
