Duncan Peters, DVM, MS
Duncan Peters, DVM, MS, grew up in New England with and around performance horses. After graduating from University of California-Davis in 1982, Dr. Peters spent 13 years at a Sport Horse practice in Northern California. He has also worked in Montana, working at a General / Sport Horse equine practice for 11 years. Dr. Peters came to Hagyard Equine Medical in 2006 as Co-director of newly formed Sport Horse Division; his main focus is lameness diagnosis, treatment and management along with diagnostic imaging. Dr. Peters is FEI licensed and member of Veterinary Commission for 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games, as well as being a certified member of the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology, a group of equine practitioners devoted to excellence in advancing education of equine lameness diagnostics and treatment. Dr. Peters also continues to ride and compete in equine sport activities.
