Cavalcade Management Practices Host North American Educational Event

Ravena, NY, October 23, 2019– Last month, forty-eight veterinary students from seven North American veterinary colleges attended the fourth annual weekend event at The Equine Clinic at OakenCroft and Rhinebeck Equine.  These two practices, along with Millbrook Equine, partnered to give equine focused veterinary students the opportunity to tour clinics, participate in wet-labs and learn about externships and internships.

“The student education weekend was one of the best experiences I’ve had since being in Veterinary school! All of the doctors involved were so helpful and gave great advice, not only with teaching different clinical skills but also…about internships, finances and loans, and advice about going into equine only practice!” — Cassidy Nugent, Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.

The event was sponsored by American Regent, Boehringer Ingelheim, Covetrus, Merck, MWI, NEAEP, Patterson, Purina, Sonosite, Universal, and Zoetis.

“It is very rewarding to see the excitement and enthusiasm from our future equine practitioners.  We look forward to continuing to offer the program in the coming years.”-Dr
