ReRun Inc., the non-profit Thoroughbred adoption group, announced Monday, Dec. 4 that it has placed 30 Moneigh paintings by racehorses in its annual holiday auction on eBay. The auction will run between Dec. 3-10. View the paintings here.

The online auction includes Moneighs by notables Cigar, Da Hoss, Funny Cide, Holy Bull, John Henry (signed by Chris McCarron), Lava Man, Quiet American, Rockport Harbor, Songandaprayer and Wild Again, as well as a number by other racehorses.

“This auction gives racing fans an opportunity to find a Moneigh from a favorite racehorse as a holiday gift and support ReRun’s adoption program at the same time,” said Barbara Luna, ReRun’s executive director. “We are trying to accommodate more ex-racehorses in need of placement and this auction provides funds for us to help them find good homes.”

Each Moneigh is unique in style and color by the equine artists who create the paintings by using their muzzles, lips, whiskers, and tails. A hoofprint, lock of mane and brass name plate complete the paintings which are trademarked by ReRun. Proceeds from the auction will be used to support ReRun’s adoption program. ReRun is a registered (501)(c)(3) organization
