Missing Sarasota, Florida, Horses Found Safe

Three horses that went missing from their Sarasota, Florida, pasture have been found, but their owner is still hoping the offer of a cash reward will lead to more information about the incident.

Earlier this month Michelle Gaster found that her three horses were missing when she entered a pasture to feed the animals. The pasture gate was open and its lock was missing. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department subsequently investigated the case and Gaster offered a cash reward for the horses’ safe return.

On Nov. 14, the horses were located in a nearby pasture, said Kaitlyn Johnston, public relations specialist for the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department.

“The incident is still under investigation,” Johnston said
